ELEMI ESSENTIAL OIL

Native to the tropical rainforests of the Philippines, the large evergreen tree Canarium luzonicum, commonly known as Elemi, produces an oleoresin in which Elemi Essential Oil is extracted. Its aroma is typically well-liked, with a sharp lemon and turpene-like scent, with peppery and resinous notes.

As part of the same family as Frankincense & Myrrh, Elemi Oil is often referred to as the ‘poor man’s Frankincense’ as it possesses many of the same qualities, and is also popular when it comes to yoga, meditation, and spiritual rituals.

Although these days Elemi is most commonly valued for its powerful skin healing benefits, Elemi Essential Oil also boasts a vast range of other therapeutic benefits.

• Elemi's main constituent is Limonene, which contains powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action.

• Due to this antioxidant nature, Elemi Oil helps to reduce skin cell damage caused by free radicals, as well as encouraging heathy cell regeneration. This aids in overall skin appearance by fighting acne, reducing blemishes & acne scarring, removing impurities, and promoting even skin tone.

• It’s also highly beneficial for fighting the signs of premature aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, increasing collagen production, encouraging skin elasticity, and boosting skin hydration for a more youthful and rejuvenated glow.

• The anti-inflammatory benefits can aid in reducing swelling, redness, and puffiness.

• These same properties also promote wound healing, helping to repair cuts, scratches, and minor wounds.

• Elemi Oil works to help soothe sore and fatigued muscles after exercising or a long, stressful day.

• Rich in monoterpenes, it is also beneficial for supporting a healthy respiratory and immune system, as well as reducing bronchial conditions, coughs, and supporting overall health.

• Due to these monoterpenes, Elemi also makes a great natural air purifier and deodorizer.

• Not just beneficial physically, Elemi Oil is also a grounding and balancing oil, making it useful in meditation and for emotional support.
